Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Steven Snooks of Springfield announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Patrice Snooks, to Ryan James Burnside, son of Mr. Conrad Burnside of Suwanee and Ms. Catherine Saul Burnside of Duluth.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry E. (Bootsie) Lindsey of Clyo, the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Otto Snooks of Springfield and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stansfield of Hilton Head, S.C.

Emily is a 2007 graduate of Effingham County High School and a 2011 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science in health science. Emily is employed by the Gwinnett County Health Department in Lawrenceville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Charles Dudley Saul III of Morristown, Tenn., and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Curts of Philadelphia, Pa.

Ryan is a 2006 graduate of Radnor High School in Philadelphia, a 2011 graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor of science in health science and a 2014 graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University with a master of health services administration. Ryan is employed by Hospital Corporation of America in Norcross.

The wedding is planned for Dec. 13 at noon at Bethel Lutheran Church in Springfield. All friends and family are invited to attend.
