Effingham County 4-H members pledge their hands for larger service through service projects in the community.

One opportunity 4-H’ers recently participated in is packing shoe boxes full of goodies for the Operation Christmas Child project. This project fills shoe boxes for poor children from other countries with items such as toys, personal hygiene products and school supplies.

This year, South Effingham Middle School 4-H’ers packed 20 Operation Christmas Child Boxes to add a little cheer this holiday season. This project provided an excellent opportunity for students to make a positive impact on the lives of others through service.
