Annual Effingham County Chamber of Commerce event set April 22
Job Fair

SPRINGFIELD -- The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce will present its annual Job Fair on  April 22 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the gymnasium at the Clarence E. Morgan Sports Complex, 1750 Ga. Hwy 21 S, Springfield. 

The Job Fair is sponsored by WorkSource Coastal and the Effingham County Industrial Development Authority.

 

Employers from across the county will be on hand to take resumes and offer information about their companies and their employment needs. Applicants should come dressed for success and bring their resumes, and a desire to work.

 

The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization focused on business advocacy and sustainable economic growth in our region.

Rincon City Council Approves First Pay Raise in 14 Years

Rincon City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve its first pay raise in 14 years, increasing council members’ pay to $750 per month and the mayor’s pay to $950 per month starting next year. The raises will apply to those elected in November, when three council seats and the mayor’s office will be on the ballot.
