The General Assembly observed 3rd Infantry Division Day at the state Capitol.

The event was hosted by Rep. Al Williams, D-Midway, and organized by the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Leadership from Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield were on the floor of the House of Representatives, along with several local elected officials as Williams and others recognized the contributions of the 3rd ID to the state.

The observance honored the sacrifices made by the 3rd ID and also highlighted the support that Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield gets from the coastal counties surrounding the installation.
