The fifth annual Gears & Grub event is this Saturday, March 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Freedom Park in Rincon.

Last year's event drew over 4,000 people from all across the coastal empire and low country. Entertainment this year will include exciting new entries, including Butch "Eddie Munster" Patrick & DRAG-U-LA, Dale Earnhardt's NASCAR car, the Speedcolt Jet Engined Funny Car, the indomitable Car Crusher, plus crowd favorites like Team FMX Moto Show, the super-charged Kids Zone, and Monster Truck Rides. 

Proceeds will support the growth of quality healthcare services close to home for residents of Effingham County and surrounding communities, including pediatric specialty services and expansion of cancer care.

Admission is $10 for persons age 12+, $5 for kids ages 3-12, and kids under 3 are free. Registration for the car show is $25 per vehicle.
