The American Cancer Society was presented with a $5,000 donation from Gulfstream, given in honor of Gulfstream personnel and their families who have been touched by cancer.

“Gulfstream appreciates the tremendous work of the American Cancer Society and is proud to make this donation in support of their fight against cancer,” said Mark Bennett, manager of community relations at Gulfstream.

Funds raised by the American Cancer Society support the organization’s research program in addition to services that aid local patients and their families, ensuring access to care and emotional support, among other needs.

“For a large corporation, such as Gulfstream, to make a contribution in honor of their employees shows true dedication, recognizing that cancer affects so many of their own,” said Jessica Thomas, senior community manager at the American Cancer Society. “As the nation’s largest cancer-fighting organization, donations such as these are what enabled us to save 350 lives per day, and it’s continued support from communities nationwide that will help us reach our goal of saving 1,000 lives per day — creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays.”
