Ameris Bank announces the sixth annual Helping Fight Hunger Food Drive Initiative during October.

Seven Ameris Bank branches, including multiple locations in Savannah, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Hinesville and Rincon, will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to a local food bank within their respective community.

At the end of the month, Ameris Bancorp will contribute a monetary donation towards each local food bank that is receiving contributions during the food drive.

“Ameris Bank is a community partner, and we recognize that there are many within our community who fight hunger on a daily basis,” said Greater Savannah Market President Austen Carroll. “We trust our customers and employees will rally behind our sixth annual food drive; making a difference in the lives of many families throughout the Coastal Empire.”

Customers and local citizens are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items between through Oct. 31. Collection boxes will be located inside each Ameris Bank branch. This year’s food drive will touch many non-profit organizations that specifically work to help end hunger throughout our region including America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, Loaves and Fishes, Backpacks for Kids, Manna House, First Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, and St. Boniface Catholic Church.
