The Effingham Chamber of Commerce’s Taste of Effingham continues to add to its lineup of vendors for the event tonight.

This year’s food booths include Chef Nick Mueller’s Laughing Boar, the Tin Fin, El Real, the Schnitzel Shack, the Effingham College and Career Academy, Southern Kafe on 17, Any Style Catering, The Cake Mix, B&R Backyard BBQ, Horton’s Quality Meats, and Sweetwater Grille, said Chamber Director Rick Lott.

“For one low price, you’ll be able to sample delicious treats from a room full of restaurants and caterers, enjoy a glass of wine, beer, Coke or water, and enjoy the music of a great musician while looking at the great items for purchase in our silent auction,” Lott said.

And to lend an Irish flavor to the evening, popular Irish singer, Harry O’Donoghue, will perform in what has become Effingham’s own St. Patrick’s celebration.

The silent auction will be held throughout the evening.

“I am so excited at the donations we have received this year for the auction,” Lott said. “We have a Savannah Riverboat Dinner Cruise for two, a Butterducks Winery gift basket, tickets to the Peter Rowan Show at the Mars Theatre, a three-month, two-adult household YMCA membership, a three game pack from Effingham’s toy store – Teach Right, a beautiful stained glass wall hanging by Ardra Hartz, a large framed pelican photo from the Cottage of Art and Framing, a wonderful gift basket from That Dress, a Mighty 8thMuseum Family Membership, two gift boxes from Smoke and Bones Woodshed, a beautiful necklace and earrings set from Quick Cash Pawn, a stand-up cooler and other great items from Advertising Specialties, a $100 gift certificate toward a cruise from Burns World Travel, and two-night hotel packages from the DoubleTree by Hilton, the King and Prince at St. Simons, and the Ritz Carlton in Atlanta.”

Tickets are $15 or two for $25 and can be purchased at GeoVista Credit Union, Renasant Banks, Queensborough Bank, Ameris Bank, Teach Right, Burns World Travel, Effingham College and Career Academy, and the Effingham Chamber of Commerce. Tickets also can be purchased at the door.

Lott said the Chamber is expecting a crowd of between 500 and 600 for the Taste of Effingham, which will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the ECRP gym on Highway 119 in Springfield.

Sponsors signed up include Vision Financial, Rincon Chevrolet, Effingham Health System, Renasant Bank, the Effingham Herald, Effingham NOW/Savannah Morning News, Georgia Power, Ameris Bank, Georgia Transformer, GeoVista Credit Union, Edwards Interiors, Coldwell Banker, and Savannah Coca Cola.
