Current active members and retirees of the 165th Maintenance Group, as well as the entire 165th Airlift Wing at Travis Field, will be recognized and honored at the Veterans Day program at Veterans Park on Nov. 11 at 11 am.

The speaker for the day will be Col. Robert A. Frankosky, commander of the Maintenance Group. He has served with the group since May 1986 and was named commander of the group in August 2012.

The airlift wing provides not only airlift for military property and is often engaged in airlifting humanitarian supplies to disaster areas.

The public is invited and urged to take this opportunity to recognize these service people and to also pay respect with a word of thanks to all who serve and have served.

Ebenezer Middle School will have its annual Veterans Day program Nov. 10 at 2 p.m., with performances by the EMS band and chorus. The guest speaker will be 1st Sgt. Edward J. Kincade, a Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran.
