David de Queljoe has graduated from basic training at the U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Depot at Parris Island, S.C.

As an Eagle Scout, de Queljoe graduated from boot camp as a private first class. De Queljoe was a member of Troop 295 in Guyton.

His next duty station will be Camp Lejeune, N.C., where he continue combat training. From there, he will go to Naval Air Station Pensacola, Pensacola, Fla., to study aviation.

He is the son of Junus and Elizabeth de Queljoe and a graduate of Effingham County High School.
