Lt. Col. D. Lawrence Eaddy was selected to be the new commander of the 165th Mission Support Group, part of the 165th Airlift Wing, Georgia Air National Guard. The 165th Mission Support Group is based at the Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport.
Lt. Col. Eaddy assumes command of the 165th MSG, which is responsible for all matters concerning civil engineering, logistics, communications, physical security, personnel functions, emergency management, family support and more than 400 airmen.
Lt. Col. Eaddy has previously served as the deputy commander of the 165th Mission Support Group and as the commander of the 165th Logistics Readiness Squadron both part of the 165th Airlift Wing. He is a graduate of the Air War College and Clemson University, where he received his commission through the Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1985.
Lt. Col Eaddy is married to Celina Eaddy and has three children and two grandchildren. He lives in Effingham County.
