Edenfield graduates from air traffic control course

Air Force Airman 1st Class Rey A. Edenfield has graduated from the Air Traffic Control Operations Apprentice Course at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Miss.

The course is designed to train students to control en route and terminal air traffic by use of visual, radar and non-radar means at air traffic control tower facilities. Students learn aircraft identification and to initiate and issue air traffic control clearances, instructions and advisories to ensure the safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic operating under instrument and visual flight rule.

Edenfield will be assigned to the 366th Operations Support Squadron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho.
He is the son of Stephen A. and Teresa M. Edenfield of Guyton.

The airman graduated in 2004 from Effingham County High School.
