Talbert Edenfield has been chosen as the 2008-2009 Rotarian of the Year for the Rotary Club of Effingham County. Edenfield personifies the Rotary motto of Service Above Self in all that he does for the club and the community.  He has served the club in various capacities, including president.  

A certified financial planner practitioner and a chartered life underwriter, Edenfield’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Adult/Business Education from Georgia Southern University. His education includes courses in income taxation, planning for retirement needs, fundamentals of estate planning, insurance for financial planning, individual life insurance, fundamentals of investments for financial planning, life insurance law and planning for business owners and professionals.

Edenfield has been married to Veronica “Roni” Edenfield for 16 years. They have two children, Aaron and Amelia. Aaron is a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Amelia is in the seventh grade at South Effingham Middle School. The Edenfields have lived in Guyton for 16 years.

Edenfield currently volunteers in the community by serving as past president/Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of Effingham County, a member of the board of directors for the Daysprings Walk to Emmaus Community, and a member of the board of directors for the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce. Edenfield Financial Services is also a member of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce.
