Close your eyes… imagine you’re a single mom, or dad, with three small children, two have special needs. Christmas is here and there is no possible way to make this season any different from the day-to-day existence that is their lives. You want so much to make Christmas special for the children, maybe a small toy, new socks, a warm jacket or simply a meal to fill their tummies. The medicine they need but no money to buy it, or a pair of shoes to keep their little feet warm and dry.
Do you feel the helplessness and despair that some families endure all year?
The Exchange Club asks you to open your hearts and share with others whatever you can spare. More than any other time, this is the season of giving and showing love for one another.
You may make donations to the Empty Stocking Fund at any Effingham County branch of Ameris, BB&T and Heritage banks.
