SOCIAL CIRCLE — The season of giving continues in Georgia’s hunting circles this weekend with a local opportunity to donate to Georgia’s Hunters for the Hungry program. Lamar Q. Ball Jr Raptor Center at Georgia Southern University will accept donations of field-dressed deer Nov. 15-16 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m.

Hunters interested in donating to the GHFTH program should bring field-dressed deer to the Raptor Center. All hunters who donate a deer during this collection period will be entered into a drawing for a deer rifle, sponsored by the Georgia Wildlife Federation.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division along with the Georgia Department of Corrections, Georgia Department of Agriculture, Georgia Wildlife Federation and the Georgia State Association of Food Banks sponsor the annual Georgia Hunters for the Hungry program.
