Effingham County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Kendricks received the Silver Shield Award from Mothers Against Drunk Driving Georgia for the 53 arrests he made for driving under the influence in 2013.
“I am very proud of the success and combined effort put forth by our deputies to make the roads of Effingham County a safer place to travel,” Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie said. “The Effingham County Sheriff's Office is committed to addressing the issue of impaired driving in the most aggressive manner possible.”
The awards were part of the 11th annual Golden Shield Awards Program held last week.
