The Exchange Club of Effingham County learned about Parent University-Effingham, a program that bridges the gap between home, school and community by offering free learning sessions to assist parents in supporting their children to achieve their goals in school and life.

This collaborative effort is supported by the local school system, businesses, private citizens, churches, social and civic organizations.

Three Saturday sessions are offered at no cost to participants. The fall session was held last month; the winter session is scheduled for Jan. 31 and the spring session for April 18.

For more information, contact Parent University dean Franklin Goldwire at 661-5290 or visit www.parentuniversityeffingham.org.

The Exchange Club of Effingham County meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month for lunch, fellowship and guest speakers. To learn more about the Exchange Club, call Jimmy Rutland at 655-2952 or Yvette Carr at 657-5423, email at effinghamexchange@live.com or visit on Facebook at Exchange Club of Effingham County, GA.
