The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce continued a tasty tradition on Thursday by baking loaves of raisin bread to give to the state's elected officials at Effingham Day at the Capitol.

Volunteers baked 250-300 loaves of bread in the Ebenezer Middle School kitchen, according to Chamber executive director Rick Lott. The homemade treats were presented Monday to state senators and representatives, as well as the governor, lieutenant governor and secretary of state.
