As one of the main modes of transportation, taking care of your feet is important for your everyday and long-term health. Learn easy steps you can take to give your feet some relief at Effingham Hospital’s December’s Girls Night Out. December’s event will be held Dec. 6 from 7-9 p.m. at the Effingham Imaging Center, 110 Goshen Rd.

Effingham Hospital’s Dr. Todd Becker will explain how important it is to take care of your feet, knowing that the feet are what keep busy women on the move. Dr. Becker will offer simple ways to make sure your feet are taken care of throughout the day, and techniques to ease the aches and pains at night.

Upon graduating from Podiatry School, Dr. Becker has had extensive training in both forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery, trauma care, diabetic wound care and limb salvage as well as sports medicine. Women in attendance will walk away with a wealth of information to make sure their feet keep them moving!

As a special treat before the holidays, Stephanie Long, owner of New Life Florist and Gifts in Rincon will show women in attendance how to create easy yet beautiful holiday decorations.

Girls Night Out always features refreshments and gifts. Most importantly, women in attendance have a chance to spend a little “me time” while learning valuable health information.

There is no need to schedule an appointment to attend GNO. For more information visit www.EffinghamHealth.org or  call 826-1400 or 754-0421.
