At its Dec. 3 meeting, the Effingham Exchange Club heard Melissa Traver, pastor of Rincon United Methodist Church, speak about Jesus’ message of being the Good Samaritan. She spoke about Effingham Family Promise and how this organization, with support from the community, has helped several homeless families with children. It is an ecumenical program that has the support of approximately 14 local churches.
The Exchange Club of Effingham County meets on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Ameris Bank in Rincon for lunch, fellowship and to hear great speakers.
