U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Drew M. Roberts graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

He is the son of Randy Roberts of Bloomingdale and Katherine Roberts of Chickasaw, Ala., grandson of Esther Davis of Chickasaw, Ala., and nephew of Sondra and William Davis of Mesquite, Nev.

Roberts is a 2014 graduate of New Hampstead High School in Savannah.

Roberts completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
