United Way of the Coastal Empire’s Effingham Service Center held its annual Operation Thank You, recognizing key donors to the 2015 campaign.

Last fall, Effingham County had a record-setting year, receiving a total of $354,835 in pledges. Contributors giving over $10,000 included Georgia-Pacific Savannah River Mill with $193,281, Effingham County Board of Education with $77,311, Effingham Health System with $25,122 and Georgia Power-Springfield Facilities with $18,622.

Donations from these employees, combined with the generosity of many others, will provide services to hundreds of people in need through the Effingham Service Center and other community programs.
