Burns re-elected House majority leader

ATLANTA – The Georgia House Republican Caucus re-elected Rep. Jon Burns (R-Newington) as the majority leader during  elections Tuesday.

“I am proud that our Majority Caucus has worked to cut taxes on Georgians, fully fund public education and modernize Georgia’s adoption laws,” Burns said. “I look forward to continuing to serve our caucus and I appreciate the trust of every member of our Republican majority.”

 In this position, Burns will be responsible for leading the House Republican Caucus. He is serving his seventh term in the Georgia House of Representatives and his third term as majority leader.
