The owners of the new 24Seven Family Fitness Center say their business lives up to its name.

The fitness center, now open at the corner of Goshen Road Extension and Commercial Drive, will indeed be open 24/7 for members through an access card and code.

The company has opened seven such centers — complete with tanning beds and child care — in the greater Savannah area and expects to open more soon.

“Our goal is to open five this year,” said Ted Smith, vice president of corporate sales and licensing. “We’re looking at spreading out from here.”

Membership in 24Seven isn’t restricted to one gym.

“If they join this gym,” Brian Harrell said of the Rincon location, “they can use all the gyms.”

24Seven also uses certified personal trainers and works with local companies on wellness programs for their employees.

Smith said the company also is looking at a location in Springfield.
