Allen, Weston named asst. VPs at Citizens Bank

Troy Allen and Glenn Weston have been named assistant vice presidents at Citizens Bank, according to an announcement by Michael T. Lee, president and CEO.

"Both Troy and Glenn have been instrumental in the growth and success of Citizens Bank in recent years," Lee said. "By having the authority to make decisions at the local level, they are building lasting, long term relationships with their customers. We look forward to their continued leadership as we move forward in the years ahead."

Allen, a consumer and commercial lending officer, will also serve as manager of the bank's main office in Springfield. He joined Citizens Bank in 2005.

An Effingham County native and graduate of Effingham County High School, Allen earned a bachelor's degree in business management from Georgia Southern University. Since joining the bank, he has attended consumer and commercial lending school, plus the Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia. Allen serves on the United Way's advisory board and has been active in Relay for Life. In 2007, he was elected to the Springfield City Council. Allen and his wife, Jinci, are members of Springfield United Methodist Church.

Weston, also an Effingham County native, most recently served as a consumer and commercial lender at the bank's Port Wentworth office which opened in 2007. He will continue as a lending officer assuming additional responsibilities in credit analysis.  Weston joined Citizens Bank in 2005.

A graduate of Georgia Southern University with a bachelor's degree in business administration, Weston has attended the Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Stacy, are members of First Baptist Church of Springfield.
