Want to learn how to “master” the business of loan proposals? You can at the Effingham County Chamber’s Small Business loan seminar, “Am I Bankable?” set for 6:30 p.m., Tuesday at the Chamber – Welcome Center at 520 W. Third St., Springfield.

Everyone attending this information-packed seminar will receive a copy of “Mastering Business Loan Proposals — A Guide to Understanding Banking Expectations, Types of Loans and Business Plans.” This is a $20 value and we are giving it free to all attendees, Scott Hinson, chair of the Chamber’s Small Business Council, said. The guide is a publication of the University of Georgia’s Small Business Development Center Network.

The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with officials of the Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC) of Savannah, will be offering a special two-hour seminar giving business owners answers about the Small Business loan process and becoming “bankable.”

The SBAC of Savannah is a licensed agent of the Small Business Administration and specializes in helping entrepreneurs and business owners with the loan process. By partnering with local banks and the SBA, business owners can find funding where it would otherwise not be available.

Stephen George Sr., business development specialist for the SBAC, will lead this seminar and cite a number of actual cases where business owners received loans, built their credit and financed their growth.

“While there are no magic answers for easy, risk free money, this seminar is especially designed for would-be entrepreneurs and business owners looking for help,” Hinson said. “If you are serious about starting a business or expanding your existing enterprise, you will want to attend this information-packed seminar.”

The seminar offers participants accurate and timely information about the small business loan process. It does not guarantee an individual’s loan approval.

Registration is $29 per person. To register, call the Effingham Chamber at 754-3301 or email: Effingham@alltel.net
