HeritageBank of the South has launched HBOS Mobile Check Deposit, a convenient new service allowing eligible customers to deposit checks directly into their HeritageBank of the South account using a smartphone or iPad.
A new feature on the bank’s mobile banking application, the mobile check deposit service gives customers greater control over when, where and how they manage their finances.
“The way customers interact with us is constantly evolving, and the new HBOS Mobile Check Deposit service is another avenue by which we can better meet the changing needs of our clients,” said James Salter, electronic banking manager for HeritageBank of the South. “Whether they are on the go, or simply don’t have time to get by the branch, our customers are going to love the convenience of depositing checks from their mobile device.”
To get started with this new service, customers should enroll in HeritageBank’s online banking. Next, download the HBOS mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and complete the mobile deposit application on HeritageBank’s Web site.
Once approved, customers will receive confirmation from customer service and can begin depositing checks. Compatible devices include Android 2.3 or higher and iPhone and iPad iOS 6.1 or higher, with camera access.
HeritageBank of the South has two Effingham branches, at 600 S. Columbia Ave. in Rincon and 802 S. Laurel St. in Springfield.
