Hospital hits high marks in compliance in several areas

Effingham Hospital board of trustees members received a report reflecting a score of 90 percent compliance with several established benchmarks from the director of quality and patient safety at their meeting Tuesday night.

The hospital received those marks in business efficiency, retention of staff, patient satisfaction and patient safety.
The hospital’s administrative staff is working on Joint Commission compliance.

The hospital trustees congratulated the administrative team for a job well done and openly praised their efforts in meeting satisfaction criteria and maintaining a high quality of care.

There is a new quality program at work within Effingham Hospital and that program is expected to guide the facility toward higher degrees of health care professionalism.
