Spine and Sport welcomes new certified personal trainer Kim Junis.

Junis graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in biology.  She continued pursuing her education and received her master’s in exercise physiology in 2007 from the University of South Carolina. While earning her master’s, Junis worked as a graduate assistant at the USC Clinical Exercise Research Center.  There, she assisted with yearly faculty and staff stress testing, all of the athlete fitness testing for university teams and free exercise consultations and training for faculty, staff and their families.

Junis has received her American College of Sports Medicine personal trainer certification and plans to receive a certification in weight management.  Before completing her ACSM certification, Junis worked as a physical therapy aide for Spine and Sport and learned the ropes before she began taking personal training clients.
