The Georgia Department of Labor will help Matchconverge, a private employment agency, recruit 15 temporary retail workers for a new store opening in June in Effingham County.

The recruitment will be held Thursday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the GDOL office, located in the Effingham County Annex, 768 Highway 119 South in Springfield. The office is a satellite of the Savannah Career Center.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or a general education diploma (GED).

Salaries range from $10 to $11 an hour, depending on experience.

The company will conduct background checks.
