Georgia Power will resume its schedule of planned outages and upgrades next week.

For the week of May 3-7, the outage time will vary per customer. Georgia Power will place door knockers to specify the day and duration of the outages. The affected areas will be Highway 119 from Early Street to just south of Berryville Road; Mock Road from Highway 119 to south of Eagle Point subdivision; and Spring Hill Farms.

Another outage is planned for May 8 beginning at 9 a.m. and lasting up to eight hours. The affected areas are: Laurel Street from East 2nd Street to Old Dixie Highway; Early Street from North Pine Street to Highway 119; Kieffer Hill Road; downtown Springfield area northwest of East 3rd Street and northeast of Laurel Street; Ash Street north of Old Stillwell Road, Railroad Avenue northwest of 2nd Street, Webb Drive, Cleveland Street, Hart Street and South Cedar Street. The alternate date will be May 15.
