SBDC to present GrowSmart series for small businesses

SAVANNAH — In its 10th year, SBDC GrowSmart, the signature series of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, will begin Sept. 16 and consists of five modules over five weeks. Each module will focus on a particular topic, such as marketing, finance, and management, with the sessions lasting from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

If your business is growing or ready for growth, SBDC GrowSmart gives you the steps, tools, and strategies to get there. In five full-day, weekly sessions, learn to analyze and manage your business like a seasoned CEO. GrowSmart was developed by the Georgia SBDC Network to meet the needs of growing businesses. You will evaluate your business, competition, and target markets in a hands-on, innovative program format that promotes the sharing of best practices.  You will also get advice from expert speakers and panels.

The program is designed for participants with a company established for at least two years, at least one non-owner employee, annual revenues of $200,000 or more, and the opportunity and desire to grow the business.

Partial fee deferments may be available. All sessions will be held at Georgia Power, 3102 Kilowatt Drive in Savannah, Sept. 16, 23, 30 and Oct. 7 and 14 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. No direct competitors are allow, so an application is required.
