Veteran comedian/actor Dylan Riggs has opened Wackos Comedy Club located inside Dakotas Grille and Spirits in Rincon. Teaming with local business owner and former mayor of Bloomingdale Ben Rozier, Wackos brings live stand-up comedy back to the Savannah area.

 

The venue will showcase a never-ending lineup of the finest headline comedians around and surprise celebrity guests — from established stand-up stars to the hottest young touring comics in the business. Riggs is scheduled to make club appearances — some scheduled and some unexpected — both doing stand-up on the stage and greeting patrons at the door. As part of the exclusive deal with Dakotas, Wackos comedy club will be the only location in Savannah at which guests may see Riggs perform. 

 

“I’ve had the good fortune of performing for more than 25 years, and I have always wanted to have a club in the Savannah area since the closing of the Comedy House 13 years ago,” Riggs said. “I am humbled to be able to bring my stand-up friends and colleagues to what I believe will be the best comedy room in the Savannah area.”

 

Featuring comedy Thursday nights at 8 p.m., Wackos will add special engagements and possible added show nights.

 

“Riggs is a comedic star to generations of fans,” Rozier said. “We are excited that Wackos at Dakotas will be the exclusive place to see Riggs and fellow comedians that he’s hand-picked. The partnership is one of many new and exceptional entertainment options that are part of Dakotas ongoing transformation.”

 

Admission starts at $7 (excluding special engagements). Guests must be 18 years of age and older. Tickets are on sale today and reservations may be made by contacting Dakotas Grille & Spirits at (912) 295-5590. Group discounts are available for parties of 15 or more.
