Danny Smart, 53, of Clyo, suffered serious burns at his home on Clyo-Kildare Road after he was working on a vehicle and something exploded. Smart drove himself to the Effingham County Fire Department’s Clyo station on Highway 119 where emergency crews attempted to stabilize him.
