County sets minimum for conservation use assessment

Effingham County commissioners have unanimously approved setting a minimum number of acres landowners can set aside in a conservation use assessment.

Commissioners unanimously approved setting the minimum at 10 acres, a level they discussed but did not adopt back in 2009.

Fifth District Commissioner Phil Kieffer recommended setting the minimum at 25 acres.
