Savannah-Chatham Metro Police has arrested a man wanted in connection with last week’s attempted robbery of a Rincon credit union.

SCMPD detectives arrested Antwon Johnall Proctor, 30, Thursday after Rincon Police Department issued warrants for his arrest. Rincon Police issued warrants earlier Thursday for Proctor, and Luciano Ramone Moore, 26, of Savannah. Rincon Police said Moore and Proctor were involved in the Sept. 21 armed robbery of the GeoVista Credit Union in Rincon and may be responsible for other area bank robberies.

SCMPD had sought the public’s help in locating Proctor for questioning in reference to a recent robbery. Within a few hours, Proctor arrived at SCMPD headquarters on Wednesday after hearing he was being sought through the media. He was questioned by SCMPD detectives and released, but police kept an eye on his whereabouts.
