Effingham County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery which took place Monday evening at the Subway on Highway 80 in Faulkville.
At approximately 7 p.m., deputies responded to the Subway on Highway 80 on a report of an armed robbery. According to witnesses, a black male wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood and sunglasses entered the business with a semi automatic handgun and demanded money from the register. The suspect left the scene with an undetermined amount of money.
Investigators and crime scene units responded to the scene. Investigators were able to obtain video surveillance from the Subway.
