More arrests are expected after an Effingham County man — who apparently tried to swallow some of the evidence — was arrested Thursday on several drug and weapons charges following a joint operation by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office and the Savannah-Chatham Counter Narcotics Team.
Sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant Wednesday evening at a home on Indica Place. Authorities found and seized seven firearms, along with numerous drugs, including Ice, according to reports. Investigators said they located a significant amount of Ice, marijuana and imitation roxycodone.
“Ice” is a large crystal form of high-purity methamphetamine hydrochloride. It derives its name from its appearance — large, clear crystals that resemble chunks of ice, shards of broken glass or rock candy.
