May 7

Burglary-First Degree (Felony); Entering Automobile or Other Motor Vehicle with Intent to Commit a Crime

A man advised that someone had broken into his home and two vehicles in his driveway. The front window of the home had been torn from its frame, and there was dirt on the bed underneath it. Nothing had been stolen, and he was unsure of who could have committed the crime. The reporting officer was Terry Gideon.

May 8

Aggravated Assault; Obstruction of Law Enforcement (Misdemeanor)

A woman stated that she had gotten into an argument with her husband over his drug abuse. During the argument, he slammed her against a wall, chocked her to the point of unconsciousness and held a gun to her chin when she came to. The husband was secured, and his handgun was confiscated. He claimed that the woman had attacked him and that he only pushed her to keep her away. He was arrested a short time later. The reporting officer was Matt Smith.

Domestic Dispute

A man stated that he had gotten into a violent verbal altercation with his girlfriend. The dispute was quite loud and caused a disturbance among the neighbors. It was noted that both parties were under the influence of alcoholic beverages. The man agreed to leave the residence with some friends for the evening. The reporting officer was John Etzle.

Theft by Taking-Felony; Criminal Trespass; Damage to Property

A man stated that his brakes malfunctioned which caused him to crash into the vehicle in front of him. After a series of miscommunications, it was revealed that the man was driving a spotter car and had run into a vehicle that was being returned after a repo mix up. The owner of the damaged vehicle was informed of the incident, and she said that she only wished to have her vehicle repaired. The reporting officer was Kathy Dillard.

No Insurance

A man was seen driving down the road in a vehicle that did not display a tag. He stated that he had recently purchased it and had not had it registered. He was issued a citation, and his vehicle was removed by a local wrecker service. The reporting officer was John Preston Morris.

Domestic Dispute

An unknown informant advised that several shots had been fired at a nearby home. A man at the house admitted to being intoxicated and to getting into an argument with his girlfriend, but he denied shooting any guns. The girlfriend confirmed this story, and they both apologized for any disturbance that they may have caused. The reporting officer was Malcom Foy.

May 10

Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance; Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects; Driving While License Suspended or Revoked (Misdemeanor); Brake Light/Turn Signal Violation

A man was seen driving down the road in a vehicle that did not have properly working brake lights. A background check revealed that he was driving on a suspended license, and he was swiftly arrested. A further search of his person and vehicle revealed two bags of methamphetamine, five syringes and two pill bottles containing prescription drugs. A male passenger was released from the scene, and the man contacted a friend to collect the vehicle. The reporting officer was John Preston Morris.

Disorderly Conduct

A woman advised that her son had barricaded himself in his house with a shotgun and was threatening to shoot someone who was not there. The son later admitted that he was drunk but noted that he never threatened his mother. He was advised to try to go to sleep and to stop yelling at people in his head. May 12

Domestic Dispute

A woman stated that she got into an argument with her boyfriend over dinner and the laundry. During the argument, the boyfriend broke a bowl and pushed the woman to the ground. Contact could not be established with the boyfriend. The reporting officer was John Etzle.

Failure to Yield Right of Way to Emergency Vehicle; Tag Light Required; Driving Without License

A man was spotted driving down the road in a vehicle that had no tag lights. At first, he refused to stop for police and only did so when he got to his residence. A background check revealed that he did not have a driver’s license, and he was placed under arrest. The reporting officer was Tonya Hodges.

Simple Battery-Family Violence

A woman stated that she got into an argument with her male half after he insulted her. During the fight, the man hit her with a broom, broke her laptop and ripped her shirt. The man claimed that the woman started the argument, but he was arrested after admitting to ripping her shirt. He contacted his mother to collect his two children. The reporting officer was Caleb Grovenstein.

May 13

Wanted Person-Warrant Service; Obstruction of Law Enforcement (Misdemeanor)

A wanted man was discovered sleeping in his bedroom with the door locked. After getting permission from the home owner, police kicked the door down and placed the man under arrest. A woman who was hiding in a bathroom closet was also arrested. Another woman in the living room was later revealed to also be wanted, and she was swiftly arrested. The reporting officer was Max Barber.

Wanted Person-Warrant Service

A woman was spotted driving down the road without wearing her seatbelt. A background check revealed that she was wanted, and she was later placed under arrest. She was given the opportunity to put on clothing, since she was wearing only a bikini. The reporting officer was Kristopher Withem.

A woman advised that she returned to her house to find several items missing. The items in question included laptop, printer, vacuum, iron and makeup. She suspected her cleaning lady of committing the thefts, but she could not prove this. The reporting officer was Kristopher Withem.

Theft by Taking-Felony

A woman stated that several pills had been stolen out of a bottle in her house while she was away. She noted that the keypad on her garage door had recently malfunctioned which may have created a point of entry. She also suspected her ex-husband of committing the crime but had no proof of this. The ex-husband could not be contacted. The reporting officer was Christopher Cary.
