Criminal Trespass
A woman stated that she returned home and noticed a dining room window was busted out. She also noticed there was a cooler located under the window as if someone moved it there to stand on to get into the window. Upon further investigation, deputies noticed that the cooler appeared to be in its current place for some time due to it being full of water. The window was broken but appeared to but appeared to also be done some time ago.

Lost/Mislaid Property
A woman was riding her bicycle on Stillwell Rd. and saw a silver gun laying on the side of the road in the grass. After being collected, the gun was ran through GCIC and it came back not stolen.

Matter of Record
A woman reported that a listed offender had been providing drinks to several underage employees of his while they were working on school property at South Effingham High School. The man owns a contracting cleaning company that the school system uses.

A man noticed that a Generac Generator that he keeps in the warehouse across the road from his residence at 1130 Stillwell Rd. in Springfield was missing.

Simple Battery- Family Violence
A woman was living with a married couple in which the wife thought her husband was cheating and attacked her. The altercation left a small laceration on her nose.

Disorderly Conduct
A woman said that her husband was released from jail and came home to get his personal property. She stated that she was afraid to open the door and he then began to beat on the front door. He then began to yell and use obscene language before he left the area.

Possession of marijuana less than 1 Ounce
Possession and use of Drug Related Objects
A man stated that his wife saw the four wheeler outside of their house and woke him up. He then stated that he followed them to his abandoned house and they ran away. An officer then began ordering someone out of the shed who came out and laid on the ground as he was told. Another suspect was then given orders to come out and he also complied. The complainant said he drove down Interstate Circle and saw a red four wheeler with two white males on it. He was able to identify the apprehended suspects as the two men on the four wheeler. The four wheeler had the ignition wires stripped and spliced together and looked to be stolen. The VIN did not return to be stolen but there was a backpack strapped to the back of the four wheeler which contained a brown grinder used to grind marijuana with a small back of marijuana inside. In the shed where the suspects were hiding were ten swords and knives. The reporting officer was Caleb Grovenstein.

Animal Complaint
A woman was driving her silver van in front of 269 Tuckasee King Rd. when she had to stop for two dogs in the roadway. She stated that she honked her horn repeatedly, when the two dogs allegedly began biting her front bumper. There were scratch marks that were visible on the front bumper.

Criminal Trespass
A woman indicated that her son’s ex-girlfriend was coming on to her property after being told to stay away. She stated that she was at the residence earlier knocking on the doors and windows while she was away. The identified female stated that she was not on the property but rather in the street and that she was only trying to check on her boyfriend. She was then notified that the family wished that she would stop all contact. The reporting officer was Bryan Shearouse.

Property Damage
A woman stated that while driving down Zeigler Rd. in Bloomingdale, a white pickup truck was in her lane. She stated that she had two choices to either hit the truck or hit the trash can. She stated that she swerved to the right and struck the trash can knocking her passenger side mirror off, which was hanging on by wires.

July 2
Criminal Trespass
A man sitting on the front porch of his residence stated that he saw a light that was motion censored come on the side of the house. He said he looked up and when he did, he observed a white male wearing black pants and a black hoodie with the hood on standing by the fence. He indicated that the subject turned around and took off running toward the wood line.

Traffic complaint/Violation
While on patrol, an officer noticed a ford explorer pull of the driveway in front of the patrol unit. He noticed that the car did not have working brake lights. After initiating a traffic stop, the officer noticed a smell of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. After asking the driver to step out of the vehicle, the officer could still smell the odor of marijuana and asked to pat the driver down. The officer then felt what was discovered to be marijuana in his right pocket. A deputy arrived on the scene and conducted a search of the vehicle which yielded a medicine bottle containing marijuana and also a glass smoking device on the driver’s side rear quarter panel. The reporting officer was David Cribbs.

Battery- Family Violence
An officer could hear a man yelling at a female from outside of the residence near the front door. Before ringing the door bell, the front door to the residence opened, and a male came to the door who appeared to be very intoxicated. The man stated that he had been drinking and his wife had been cheating on him so he confronted her about it when she came home. He stated that nothing was physical and it was just a lot of arguing about her cheating on him. The man was very intoxicated and could barely stand in place for long. His eyes were also blood shot red and speech was blurred. His wife stated that when she came home her husband began to argue about her committing sins. She stated that he then jumped up in her face and began to grab her by her neck and choke her. She then showed the bite mark on her shoulder and stated that she hit him between the legs to get him off of her. She stated that her husband stated that if he could not be with her, then she should die. He then went to go get his gun but he put it away after awhile. After all evidence was collected, her husband was placed under arrest. The reporting officer was Deandre Loucks.

Criminal Damage to Property
Criminal Trespass
A man claimed that unknown individuals entered a newly constructed house and shot multiple windows with what appears to be a pellet/bb rifle/pistol. The damages incurred are estimated to be around $800.00. The estimate included a damaged twin window as well as one other single window. The reporting officer was Bobby Mccloud.

June 27
Burglary
A corrections officer stated that while doing work detail with some inmates they discovered two north facing windows on the middle hall broken with a brick and some miscellaneous clothing items were tossed on the ground at the old Central Learning Center. He stated that they had cut the grass last month and there had been no damage to the building at that time. The reporting officer was Marcus Hartwell.

Burglary- 1st Degree
Theft by taking
A man stated he was leaving his mother’s residence to go work outside and he remembered that he left the garage door open so he asked his wife to go shut the garage. His wife stated that when she went to the residence she observed a 2-door black truck pulling out of the driveway. He stated that the time between when he left and when his wife returned was 15 minutes. When his mother returned home, both doors were shut but the frame was cracked. His mother then observed a piece of the door lock on the ground in the garage. She then stated that they searched the house and found in the last bedroom a jewelry box along with several misc. necklaces and earrings were missing. The door was observed to be forced open while a pearl necklace and bag were lying on the floor with another jewelry box open with necklaces still inside. The reporting officer was Justin Hynko
