State troopers from the Rincon post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 12 traffic crashes during July in Effingham County.

Sgt. 1st Class Chad Riner said the traffic crashes resulted in 11 injuries.

Sgt. 1st Class Riner said troopers from Post 42 also issued 401 traffic citations in the county during the month.

The total includes 10 arrests for driving under the influence, 198 citations for speeding, 111 seat belt violations and two child restraint  violations.
