A Richmond Hill man is facing several charges after soliciting sex at a local gas station on Saturday after claiming he was high on “spice.”

Anthony Norton, 22, of Richmond Hill, entered a Chevron gas station on Highway 21 at Goshen Road in Effingham County and approached three different females demanding they perform sexual acts on him, according to Effingham County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Norton unzipped his pants on two different occasions and walked outside and got into another victim’s vehicle with her 11-year-old daughter. The victim and her daughter were able to escape before bystanders subdued Norton.

Deputies arrived on the scene and arrested Norton charging him with three counts of solicitation of sodomy, two counts of cruelty to children, simple assault and criminal trespass.

Norton was taken to the Effingham County Jail and held on a $16,150 bond.
