Rincon police officers have arrested the owner of a piece of property that the city erected a building on without his approval.
Herman Woods was arrested Friday at 3:05 p.m. after an investigation by the Rincon Police Department disclosed that Woods used a bulldozer to knock down a well house being erected near the city’s fire and police departments but was on Woods’ property.
Woods was charged with terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage to property in the first degree and interference with government property.
Woods is currently incarcerated in the Effingham County Jail awaiting a appearance before a judge.
