Police arrested a Rincon woman and are looking for her husband in connection with a “sophisticated marijuana manufacturing operation” they say the couple was running from their East Williams Street home.

Lyndi Brasile, 30, and Andrew Brasile, 28, were growing and distributing marijuana from their house, according to Rincon Police Chief Phillip Scholl.

Rincon Police officers searched the home Thursday and seized 39 pounds of marijuana plants, along with several containers of purified THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. Also found were harvesting equipment, packaging equipment, marijuana wax and marijuana oil.

“The overall street value of the marijuana and related drugs is approximately $50,000,” Scholl said. “They weren’t just growing a couple plants they were going to roll up and smoke.”

Lyndi Brasile was arrested and booked into the Effingham County Jail on multiple drug-related charges and a weapons possession charge. Her bond was set at $47,500 and she was released Sunday, according to jail records.

Rincon Police have a warrant for Andrew Brasile, who was not home when the search was conducted. Investigators believe he is in Florida, Scholl said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Rincon Police Department at 826-5200.
