Effingham County Sheriff's deputies have made an arrest in connection with a rash of entering autos, which have recently taken place in south Effingham County.

Investigators have arrested Mark Owen Douglas Lemaster, 18, of Guyton. Lemaster is believed to be a suspect in at least six entering autos in south Effingham County.

Deputies received a citizen tip, which ultimately led to the arrest after further investigation by the Effingham County Sheriffs Office Criminal investigations Division.

Thousands of dollars in property, which had been stolen from the vehicles has been recovered. Some of that property includes shotguns, handguns, gps systems, an X box and several other items.

Deputies have increased patrols in the neighborhoods over the recent weeks. The Effingham County Sheriff's Office always encourages citizens to contact law enforcement with any tips or to report any suspicious activity in their neighborhood.
