The Effingham County Sheriff's Office arrested a Guyton man Thursday night who was wanted in connection with a jewelry theft.
Deputies arrested Mathew Davidson, 18, after investigators followed up on tips concerning Davidson's whereabouts. Davidson is facing felony charges of theft by receiving stolen property. Investigators say he pawned thousands of dollars worth of stolen jewelry which were taken in a residential burglary several weeks ago.
Davidson was booked into the Effingham County Jail. Investigators said more arrests in the case are expected.
