Wanted meth suspect turns himself in

A Rincon man who fled from Effingham County Sheriff’s Deputies during a meth lab bust this past weekend is now in custody.

Charles Morgan Jr., 36, of Rincon, turned himself in to Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie on Tuesday night at the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Morgan ran from deputies on Woodland Drive where one of four meth labs were recovered during a weekend operation conducted by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office Drug Suppression Unit.

Morgan is currently being held in the Effingham County Jail and has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
