Contractors for the state Department of Transportation, in conjunction with a $5.3 million concrete rehabilitation project on I-16 from exit 152 to exit 162, will be installing temporary lane closures on the eastbound lanes. Closures will begin Friday and will last daily from 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m.

The weekday eastbound lane closures will continue until the concrete rehab work is completed. All work is weather contingent.

Message signs, barrels and/or cones will be utilized to alert the public of the upcoming changes. Drivers should be aware that personnel and equipment will be operating in close proximity to travel lanes.
