Early voting starts in Guyton on Nov. 25

GUYTON — Early voting for a pair of Guyton municipal runoff elections is set Nov. 25-27 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Leisure Services Room at 505 Magnolia St.

Dec. 3 is election day. Voting that day will also occur in the same room from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.  

In a Post 1 city council runoff, Marshall Reiser will face Tamela Mydell. After multiple recounts, they tied 216-216 on Nov. 5.

The Post 2 city council runoff will pit Hursula Pelote against Andy Harville. On Nov. 5, Pelote garnered 200 votes to Harville’s 175. Forty-five other votes were cast, leaving Pelote short of the 50 percent plus one vote needed to cinch the seat.
