POOLER -- Living up to its “Our People Matter” mantra, Effingham Health System honored more than 70 employees during its 2019 Employee Appreciation Banquet.
Stephanie Riggin, Health Information Management coordinator, was honored as Employee of the Year.
Outstanding Service Awards went to Ashley Mitchell (IT,) Marilou Howe (Nutritional Services) and Richie Burns (Engineering).
The annual ceremony honors excellence and service from across the entire healthcare system, which employs approximately 450 people.
“The people we are recognizing today exemplify our mission: to provide every patient an experience of compassion, quality care, and service excellence at its highest level of customer expectation,” Effingham Health System CEO Fran Baker-Witt said. “But they are also in tune to our vision for the future -- to achieve customer and industry recognition while providing the highest potential health outcomes for the patients we serve.”
Effingham Health System also conferred Pillar Awards (for Quality, Patient Experience, Financial Performance and Strategic Growth), Leadership Awards and Service Awards for notable anniversaries.
Among those recognized for extended service with Effingham Health System was Bertha Scott, manager Nursing Home Staff Development, who was recognized for 45 years with EHS.
